So, I heard that you want to write action scenes that would make Hollywood directors go crazy and make them want to translate your work into a full length feature film that would make the Avengers look like it was nothing more than child’s play? Well, slow down, we aren’t quite there. We’re going to go over the basics of writing an action scene.

When it comes to writing an action scene, one of the most important things involved is your imagination and being able to see what you’re writing in your mind. If it’s a fighting scene between two of more characters, plan it out in your head so things don’t get confusing. One of the hardest things for me, early on was writing a fight scene with numerous characters without having one character fight someone on his team. Playing it out in your head helps you get a good feel of the scene and situation and makes for a much easier transition than just trying to write it out without having an idea of what you’re doing.
